Heidi game revisted

Although it is not going to be as remembered as well as the Heidi game, this past Saturday's ending to the New York Yankees-Boston Red Sox game was not seen with people who do not have cable. With two outs in the top of the 9th, the Yankees losing 4-3 and Robinson Cano up at the plate, Fox's channel cut over to lap 2 of Nascar's , "The Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix".
Many viewers in the New York/Boston area could give two tail about Nascar, it is always about the Yankees/ Red Sox.
Unfortunately for Yankees this was not much like the Heidi game where almost 40 years ago when NBC cut away from the last 1:05 of a New York Jets-Oakland Raiders football game to begin showing the movie, "Heidi". What football fans never saw is the miraculous comeback by Raiders, who scored two touchdowns in the last 42 seconds to defeat the Jets, 43-32. This angered many football fans.
The Yankees were not able to pull off a comeback like the Raiders, but what if they did. What if it was a miraculous comeback it would be talked and dissected on every sports show.
In Boston it is baseball 24/7/365 people live and die by the Red Sox and especially when they play the hated rivals the Evil Empire-The New York Yankees. Nascar is mostly popular in the south not the north, so what Fox should have done is left the Yankees/Red Sox game on in New York and in Boston, and in every other state cut over to Nascar's race.
